Summary

Managing and leading the project team including internal partners, engineering subcontractors as well as external interfaces. (Type C and D projects)

Profit and loss responsibility for the allocated project by delivering the project within time, budget and cash targets in the required quality whilst optimizing the margin.

Ensuring compliance with Bühler related directives and EHS standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the project schedule baseline is agreed upon the involved parties at the start of the project
  • Manage and lead the project team to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets
  • Perform proper risk and opportunity management
  • Ensure proper deviation management within the project. Assess, approve and expedite technical aspects of change orders and define effective claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, etc.
  • Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested, report according to Bühler Project Management process
  • Responsible for the site briefing meeting; Ensures that all site relevant documents are handed over to site personnel.
  • Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution
  • Establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction
  • Capture return of experience and best practice, apply lessons learned. Organizes and accomplish a debriefing meeting
  • Supervise, support and coach the Project Team Members, provide input to project people performance reviews to functions
  • Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated project and provides an execution strategy

Technical Skills (BU/BA specific requirements)

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information
  • Familiarity with reviewing, interpreting, and communicating details from mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

  • Development of gross margin and provisions on the project
  • Accuracy of forecasting
  • Project KPIs SPI and CPI
  • Development of the number of project related complaints
  • Development of cost, time schedule and quality on the project
  • Compliance with processes, procedures and tools
  • Meeting the time schedule and quality targets of all documentation
  • Provision of experience feedback to other projects

 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Engineering
  • English level FCE
  • PMI Certification
  • Multilingual

  • Minimum 3 years as Project Engineer or corresponding Project Management experience
  • Basic commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities to undertake commercial negotiations
  • Technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines
  • Strong planning, organising and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams
  • Planning, organising and coordinating skills in an international environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers and contractors
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing of OEM equipment
