Summary
Bühler Group, located in Johannesburg, South Africa, is seeking a dedicated technician to become part of our team as a Project Engineer Mechanical. This position will be responsible for small projects on all technical belongings related with his specialization, approves deliverables to ensure that design will meet the customers’ expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in more complex overall projects by executing sub-systems
- Producing technical documents, such as process diagrams, auxiliary design and specifications for manufacturing and procurement according to Buhler engineering guidelines and standards
- Execution of scope of work as part of project structure with minimal support
- High service quality for internal and external customers (response time, flexibility, TOP Values)
- Resolve questions or problems that occur during the design and
- Manufacturing as well as during installation with support of Project Manager / Lead Project Engineer
- Regularly review and monitor own work progress during weekly project Meetings
- Takes ownership and proactively communicates issues as they arise.
- Actively participate in project meetings with cross-functional team members,Suppliers
- Prepare all necessary project execution specification for purchase orders for the responsible scope of work
- Resolve questions or problems that occur during the design and manufacturing as well as during installation and commissioning
- Track schedules to ensure their parts of the projects are executed completely and on time
- Prepares the necessary documentation and installation notes for the installation and commissioning process
- Prioritize and manage work hours to support budgeted hours
Qualifications
- Higher technical education (Technical College)
- N6 Mechanical drawing or equivalent Drafting academy (MDDOP)
- Good MS Office and CAD skills (3D & 2D CAD, AutoCAD, Architectural,
- Bentley AutoPlant, Piping & Pro Steel)
- Minimum 2 years as Engineer or proof of sufficient skills
- Understanding of manufacturing principles
