Summary

Leads cross-business-area and large-scale projects, managing internal partners, subcontractors, and, where applicable, consortium partners and external interfaces. The role carries profit-and-loss responsibility, delivering projects on time, within budget and cash targets, and to the required quality while optimizing margin. The Project Manager ensures strict adherence to Bühler directives and EHS standards throughout project execution. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Overall P&L responsibility, project cash-flow management
  • Lead Cross-Business-Area Projects and Large scale of projects including EPC+EPCM and Full installation 
  • Build and develop a team, establishing foundational processes and culture 
  • Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated projects and provides the execution strategy 
  • Ensures that the project schedule baseline is signed by the involved parties at the start of the project  
  • Manage and lead the project team in order to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality and EHS targets  
  • Perform proper risk and opportunity management  
  • Ensure proper deviation management within the project. Assess, approve and expedite technical aspects of change orders and define effective claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, etc. 
  • Perform negotiations with clients, partners and/or subcontractors  
  • Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested, participate in SteCom and report according Bühler Project Management process  
  • Responsible for the setup, initiation and guidance of a suitable site organization under consideration of the Bühler Project Management process.  
  • Responsible for the project execution according to the Bühler processes under consideration of all relevant milestones.  
  • Liaise with the Project Management Office to establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction 
  • Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution

  • Capture return of experience and best practice, apply lessons learned to all templates. Organizes and accomplish a debriefing meeting 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration 
  • PMI/PMP Certificate 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the industry, including experience in engineering, procurement, construction and project management of large projects  
  • Good commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities to undertake commercial negotiations  
  • Insightful, able to collaborate with other management team members in developing strategy and implementing business plans 
  • Strong planning, organising and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams 
  • Broad technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines 
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix organization 
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team 
  • Experience in leading change initiatives to ensure successful project outcomes and long-term business impact 
  • Proficiency in English language
