Summary
Join our Food Application Center (FAC) as a Process Technician and become the technical heartbeat of our pilot plant operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate and support a variety of processing systems to ensure our engineers and customers have equipment that’s ready, reliable, and safe to use.
You’ll take ownership of critical cleaning and sanitization processes, manage ingredient inventories, and help uphold the highest standards of food safety and product quality. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, mechanical troubleshooting, and working in a collaborative environment where maintaining a clean, food‑grade facility is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate food processing machinery (extruders, dryers, grinders, etc.) for trials, trainings and production.
- Lead the disassembly, deep cleaning, and reassembly of equipment; develop and maintain strict cleaning procedures and records.
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting (sensors, flow meters) and assist with preventative maintenance.
- Strictly follow food safety manuals and workplace safety protocols, including Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO).
- Maintain accurate logs of all food ingredients, tracking intake, usage, and disposal.
- Support engineers and customers during trials and trainings, ensure customers are well taken care of and are at the center of our operation.
- Ensure the entire facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with food-grade standards.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or associates degree required.
- 2-3 years of proven operations experience.
- Experience working with customers and communicating professionally.
- Must be able to work with spreadsheets and word processing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Speaks and understands English. Spanish is a plus.
