Summary

Buhler Group in Nairobi, Kenya is looking for a skilled professional to join our Customer Service Team as Project Engineer. This position will be responsible to coordinate the customer service projects (diversified business unit’s machine installation & commissioning projects including single machine business) and fulfil the project deliverables with high level focus on cost, quality and delivery while ensuring compliance with 
company directives and Environment Health & Safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Act as a strong interface between customer and internal functions to seamlessly maintain clear and consistent communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in developing project plans, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Create and manage project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate resources, assign tasks, and ensure team members have the necessary tools and information.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and project summaries.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Monitor project expenses and track budget adherence.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations.
  • Address project-related issues and conflicts, facilitating resolutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Generate regular project status reports and presentations for 
    management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • English level FCE
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Project Engineer or proof of sufficient skills
  • Basic commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities to undertake commercial negotiations
  • Technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
