Summary

Bühler is a global technology company focused on solutions for food processing and advanced manufacturing. For our Prague development team, we are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer who will help maintain and further develop automated testing for our HMI software platform Playone.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and further develop automated End-to-End testing for our Playone HMI platform.
  • Improve and extend the shared test framework, reusable UI components and Page Object Model.
  • Keep automated test suites stable and reliable within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Investigate test failures, identify root causes and report product defects.
  • Design and automate integration, API and hardware-related test scenarios.
  • Introduce and expand visual regression testing across the platform.
  • Perform manual testing and validation activities where automation is not yet feasible (approximately 20% of the role).
  • Contribute to improvements in test quality, test data management and testing processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web UI automation.
  • Solid knowledge of TypeScript and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good written English.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with development teams.

Nice to have:

  • SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with C#/.NET.
  • API and integration testing experience.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Test Plans and AI tools such as Copilot.
  • Experience with test data management across multiple environments.
