Summary
Bühler GmbH in the greater Cologne area is the market leader in the field of casting and molding processes for chocolate. Based in Reichshof, we develop, produce and sell technically sophisticated, automated systems for the production of pralines, chocolate bars, chocolate drops and hollow figures worldwide.
As the Head of Product Management, you are the strategic architect of our solution portfolio.
You ensure our equipment to perfectly meet market demands while driving profitable growth. You will lead a high-performing team and act as the central hub between R&D, Sales, and Project Execution.
What is your job?
- Comprehensive development and management of our solution portfolio alongside the main thrusts of the 5 year strategy cycle, including portfolio strategy definition and the execution of an overarching product life cycle management
- Define and execute the overarching product strategy and product life cycle management for our global solution portfolio (equipment, automation, and digital services).
- Providing market intelligence in terms of global market trends, competitors analysis, technologies, services, with focus on future business opportunities
- Continuous monitoring of solution portfolio performance and competitiveness, in alignment with other business units in order to ensure competitive full process solutions in the field of bean to bar and grain to snack
- Develop market-centric business plans, including conceptual requests for new R&D projects, strategic partnerships
- Build, establish and maintain an M&A radar, in close collaboration with with adjacent business units and Group Business Development
- Create compelling value propositions and storytelling assets to support global sales forces across all communication channels in close collaboration with cross-functional business areas and Group Marketing Communications
- Act as an owner and brand ambassador of the entire solution portfolio; inspire and convince with passion and dedication
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team, including international reporting lines, toward a high-performance culture.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Process Technology, or Business Administration.
- Profound experience in the confectionery industry, or any food or similar industry, is a big plus
- A solid technical understanding (mechanical engineering, automation, or digital solutions) combined with strong business acumen in sales or marketing.
- Good knowledge of business processes as well as profound capabilities in project management.
- Experience in a similar position and proven track record in the industrial investment goods industry
- Ability to think out of the box, working closely with global stakeholders, and to act in a multi-dimensional matrix organization
- Structured, analytical, and technically well-founded working method, capable in Excel and PowerPoint
- Entrepreneurial and responsible mindset, high-level of integrity, resilient and ready to go the extra mile
- Strong communicator in English and German and networker and comfortable to work with various stakeholders from different cultures
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams
