Buhler Denmark A/S BU Biscuit is part of Bühler Groups’ Consumer Food Division, based in Copenhagen, with its own global production, sales, and assembly sites. We deliver over 100 projects annually from our main locations in Europe, Asia, and South America.

 

The Job

The Technical Writer at Bühler is responsible for creating and updating clear, user-oriented documentation such as operating manuals, installation guides, maintenance and repair manuals, and spare parts catalogs for Bühler products. The role involves structuring product information, developing illustrations, managing translations, and ensuring that all documentation meets company standards and is tailored to customer needs. Collaboration with subject matter experts and handling multiple projects simultaneously are key aspects of the job.

Job Responsibilities

Create, update, and optimize clear, user-oriented documentation (manuals, guides, spare parts catalogs)

Research and structure product knowledge independently

Develop and edit technical illustrations

Gather technical information from subject matter experts

Manage multiple documentation projects and handle translations/publication in various languages

Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and customer needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of technical writing experience
  • Evidence for the implementation of complete documentation projects
  • Degree in Technical Communication/Technical Writing
  • Experience with XML-based editing systems, MS Office, content management systems, and documentation tools (e.g. Adobe FrameMaker, SAP, Creo Illustrator)
  • Fluent in English

 

Desirable:

  • Experience from the food industry and machine building companies, with knowledge of technologies and products relevant to the business area
  • Experience in customized projects, who can help enhance the quality of our standard documentation and manuals.
  • Mechanical and electrical know-how will be an advantage
  • Able to manage multiple projects and adapt to new technologies
  • Proactive, structured, analytical, independent, and committed
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer focus
