Summary
As Head of Learning & Development, you will play a central role in shaping how learning is understood, designed, and embedded across our global organisation. In this role, you will further develop our lifelong learning strategy, align learning initiatives with business priorities, and translate strategic ideas into practical solutions that create measurable impact. Working closely with the global Learning Community and key stakeholders worldwide, you will ensure that capability development, skills management, and learning excellence support both employee growth and business performance. This is a role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You will bring structure, focus, and fresh thinking to an evolving learning landscape, while influencing stakeholders in a complex matrix environment without relying on formal authority. As a credible sparring partner, you will challenge constructively, build alignment, and help turn learning into a practical and strategic lever for the organisation.
Job Responsibilities
- You shape and evolve the global Learning & Development strategy, offering, and lifelong learning culture globally
- You translate business priorities into practical learning solutions, skills frameworks, career paths, and learning journeys
- You partner with our Learning Community, HR and key stakeholder to position learning as a strategic lever for performance and growth
- You drive the implementation and continuous improvement of learning operations, tools, reporting, onboarding, and key learning initiatives
- You lead and develop a small, distributed team, fostering collaboration, clarity, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented way of working
Qualifications
- Solid experience in Learning & Development within an international matrix organisation, with a proven ability to design and evolve learning strategies, learning offerings, and skills-based development approaches
- Strong project and programme management experience, with the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical, scalable learning solutions and measurable outcomes
- Confident stakeholder management skills, including the gravitas to engage senior leaders, challenge constructively, and influence without formal authority
- Solid understanding of modern learning approaches, including digital learning, AI-enabled solutions, future skills, and current L&D market trends, with the ability to apply them pragmatically
- Leadership, change management, and transformation experience, including the ability to guide small, distributed teams and embed learning into everyday work and leadership practices
