Summary
We are seeking a Product Manager to drive the development, profitability, and long-term success of Bühler's chocolate processing and service portfolio. The role is critical in shaping portfolio strategy, translating market and customer needs into innovative solutions, and ensuring sustainable business growth. You will work closely with customers, sales, service, R&D, engineering, and operations to strengthen Bühler's market leadership in chocolate processing.
Job Responsibilities
- You drive portfolio strategy and growth by defining the roadmap, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring the long-term competitiveness of the product and service portfolio
- You manage the full lifecycle of products and services by leading new product introductions, portfolio optimization, standardization initiatives, service development, and phase-out activities
- You translate customer and market needs into solutions by gathering market insights, analyzing industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments
- You support commercial success by defining value propositions, pricing strategies, business cases, and commercialization plans for products and services
- You create and steer sales and marketing content by defining key messaging, supporting campaigns, and enabling sales teams with effective tools and training as well as representing Bühler at internal and external events
Qualifications
- Degree from a University or University of Applied Sciences (FH) in Engineering, Food Technology or Business Administration
- Several years of experience in Product Management, Business Development, Sales, or a comparable strategic role as well as experience in portfolio management, pricing, product launches, market analysis, and commercialization activities
- Strong business acumen combined with technical affinity and the ability to translate customer needs into profitable business opportunities
- Very good communication skills in English combined with excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions, regions, and cultures
- Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20–30%)
