Summary
The Technical Trainer for Field Service is responsible for designing, standardizing, and delivering high-quality training programs for Field Service Engineers globally, ensuring consistency in both online and hands-on sessions. Additionally, aligning across business units to establish clear standards for training deliverables, and content development is essential. This role updates training content, assesses and certifies FSE skills, and supports regional train-the-trainer programs to maintain high service standards globally. Job Responsibilities
- You design, deliver, and update basic training for Field Service Engineers, including maintenance and automation. Therefore you facilitate and deliver both classroom-based and practical, hands-on training sessions
- You align and standardize training content, methodologies, and assessment criteria across multiple business units (BUs) to ensure consistency and quality as well as collaborate with business units (BUs) to address content gaps and keep materials current
- You integrate and reinforce safety standards and compliance requirements in all training activities and support and enable regional train-the-trainer programs by transferring knowledge and providing coaching and guidance
- You assess and evaluate trainee skills through practical and theoretical assessments; certify individuals based on demonstrated competency
- You serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and support to drive ongoing improvements in training delivery and effectivenes
Qualifications
- Education in engineering (preferably mechatronics), industrical automation or related technical field as well as at least five years of experience in maintenance and automation or as a technical trainer
- Ability to analyze training needs, develop and deliver targeted skill development programs, evaluate learning outcomes, adapt instructional approaches, and manage training dumentation
- Effective communication, strong presentation and facilitation skills, teamwork and collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability
- Proficiency with training materials creation (e.g., PowerPoint, e-learning authoring tools), and assessment and feedback tools
- Fluency in English both verbal and written
