Summary

Join Bühler as an Intern in Market Development – Grains & Food and contribute to a strategic assignment focused on shaping future growth opportunities. In this role, you will explore emerging market landscapes, analyze value chains and market dynamics, and identify high-potential business opportunities at the intersection of food systems, innovation, and technology. The role is positioned within the Grains & Food CEO Office at divisional level and reports directly to the Strategy Responsible. It offers exceptional exposure to senior decision-makers, with close collaboration across Business Area leadership and C-level management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work independently in an exploratory environment and make a meaningful contribution to the company’s future direction.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Explore and structure new growth areas by analyzing value chains, market dynamics, and key industry drivers. 

  • Identify high-potential applications and business opportunities by combining market insights with technology perspectives. 

  • Map Bühler’s internal strengths and capabilities across business areas to uncover synergies, gaps, and leverage points. 

  • Develop fact-based strategic recommendations and decision-ready insights to support future business decisions. 

  • Prioritize opportunity spaces based on market attractiveness, strategic fit, and potential value for Bühler. 

Qualifications

  • You are a Master’s student or recent graduate in Business and Strategy, Business Innovation, International Management, or a related field. 

  • You bring genuine curiosity for innovation, food systems, and future technologies. 

  • You think in a structured way and can translate complex topics into clear insights. 

  • You are comfortable working independently in an ambiguous, exploratory environment with limited predefined structure. 

  • You communicate confidently and effectively with both technical experts and business stakeholders.
