Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Portfolio & Strategy: Responsible for the complete coffee processing solution portfolio (research, automation, training, engineering, marketing). Drive the implementation of the Flavor Creation strategy to strengthen market leadership.
  • Sales & Business Development: Accountable for achieving sales targets within the segment. Support global sales org in building trust and closing deals. Identify new business opportunities and drive innovation by bridging knowledge gaps.
  • Technical Leadership: Formulate the future technology roadmap in collaboration with R&D. Set up and maintain process technology standards. Proactively assist with trials in RTC/ATC.
  • Team Management & Training: Manage, coach, and develop the local sales and service organizations. Identify training needs, develop content, and lecture customers on coffee processing topics.

Qualifications

  • University Degree: In Engineering or Food Technology.
  • Postgraduate Education: Continuing education in Business Administration (e.g., MBA, NDS, etc.) is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in international sales of capital goods.
  • Industry Background: Preferably in technology-based industries, processing, or plant engineering (specifically coffee or food processing is a strong plus).
  • Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) - mandatory. Mandarin (or other Chinese languages) is highly preferred. Additional languages are an asset.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead a team as well as work collaboratively as a team member. Strong assertiveness and powers of persuasion.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to formulate technology roadmaps and assess business ideas.
  • Conflict Management: Ability to manage conflicts effectively..
  • Personality: Business-minded, proactive, creative, and highly customer-driven with a competent appearance.
  • Work Style: High level of autonomy, independence, and above-average personal commitment.
  • Cultural Fit: Receptiveness to other cultures and preparedness for international travel.
