Summary

The Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains software throughout its lifecycle. Working with the Product Owner and R&D colleagues, the engineer helps clarify requirements and deliver reliable solutions. The role involves working within the agreed architecture, applying company standards, and contributing to improvements in software quality and development practices.

Job Responsibilities

-    Work with the Product Owner and relevant stakeholders to clarify requirements and change requests, and assess their technical feasibility, implementation effort, and impact on existing systems.
-    Compare implementation options and recommend solutions based on requirements, maintainability, and the existing architecture.
-    Identify technical dependencies and skills needed for implementation and communicate any gaps to the team.
-    Design software components and interfaces in line with the agreed architecture, addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
-    Apply the company’s security standards when designing and implementing software.
-    Develop, test, and maintain software applications, components, and interfaces.
-    Investigate defects, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
-    Support the Product Owner in release planning by highlighting technical dependencies, risks, and readiness.
-    Identify and propose improvements to software quality and development practices and implement agreed changes.
-    Create and maintain technical documentation for the software components and interfaces you develop.
-    Communicate technical risks and blockers promptly to the team and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

-    Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Computer Software or Automation; Computer Software major is preferred.

-    5+ years of .NET development experience, with knowledge of both B/S and C/S architecture; hands-on experience with both is preferred.
-    3+ years of Front-end development experience using Angular, React, Vue, or comparable technologies.

-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues and collaborate with others to resolve them.
-    Ability to identify unclear or conflicting requirements and clarify them with the Product Owner before implementation.
-    Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, version control, and software design principles and patterns. Familiar with microservice architecture concepts and practices
-    Proficient in at least one relational database (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL); capable of database schema design, index optimization and transaction management
-    Ability to explain technical designs and implementation choices clearly in discussions, written documentation, and diagrams.
-    Hands on experience with AI tools (both coding assistants and building AI features). Ability to assess when AI-based solutions add value and critically evaluate their results before use.
-    Good spoken and written English skills for collaboration with international teams.
-    Willingness to travel to company headquarters for training.

-     Practical experience with at least one business-area-specific technology and an understanding of the domain in which it is used.

-    Delivers maintainable, well-tested code that meets agreed quality standards. 
-    Designs software components and interfaces that meet agreed requirements and follow the agreed architecture. 
-    Communicates technical decisions, risks, and blockers clearly and in a timely manner. 
-    Takes ownership of complex technical issues and collaborates with others to resolve them. Proposes practical improvements to software quality and development practices.
